About Luke

Born and raised in the mountains of western North Carolina, Charlotte, NC trial lawyer Lucas T. Baker (Luke) is the principal of Law Offices of L. T. Baker, P.A. Luke focuses his practice on litigation and trial of catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases, usually involving commercial transportation/trucking or medical malpractice.

Luke describes his practice as a “custom shop”, where each case is handled individually based on its unique needs. Luke purposefully limits the number of cases he handles to ensure the high level of service for which he is known among clients and colleagues alike. In providing for his clients’ cases’ unique needs, Luke also owns and operates Focus-NC Research Institute, where he regularly conducts focus group research.

Luke holds Graduate and Master’s Certificates from the Keenan Trial Institute, where he is also a faculty member and Dean of the graduate level Seeing is Believing course. Luke is a referring attorney of Keenan Law Firm, as well as a two-time Edge Superstar recognized in Mr. Keenan’s weekly blog. Luke is a member of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice, the American Association for Justice, and the North Carolina State Bar. Luke is admitted to practice before all Courts (state and federal) in North Carolina and also handles cases pro hac vice in other jurisdictions.
